The Majestic
The Majestic is located in Chinatown, originally as a venue for opera performances. The building was first built in 1928 by Eu Tong Sen. The story behind The Majestic, Eu Tong Sen was disappointed that his wife was barred from entering other theaters in that era. In the end, Eu Tong Sen built The Majestic.
In 2003, The Majestic turned into a shopping center. However, in 2007, the shopping center stopped operating.
The Old Hill Street Police Station
Last but not least, there is The Old Hill Street Police Station which is the largest and first police station in Singapore. In that era, this building was also the residence of the police and their families. Unlike other police stations, this historical building has a neo-classical architecture with rainbow-colored windows.
